Virus sampling tubes are a set of sampling and delivery centrifuge tubes used for virus sampling such as influenza virus in microbial sampling delivery tubes. Virus sampling tubes are also called specimen delivery tubes and have now become commercialized.
How to use virus sampling tubes
1 . Before sampling, display the relevant sample information on the label of the sampling tube.
2 . Sample the appropriate area with the sampling swab according to the sampling request.
3 . Place the swab quickly into the sterile sampling tube.
4 . Break off the part of the sampling swab above the virus sampling tube and tighten the cap.
5 . Freshly collected clinical specimens are sent to the laboratory within 48 hours at 4°C. If they cannot be sent to the laboratory within 48 hours, they are stored below -70°C. After the specimens are sent to the laboratory, inoculate and isolate them as soon as possible, and those that can be inoculated within 48 hours can be stored at 4°C. When inoculation is not possible, store below -70℃.
Uses of virus sampling tubes.
1 . For disease management part, clinical part of infection pathogenic microorganism surveillance sampling. Suitable for sampling influenza virus and other types of viruses. Also used for sampling of mycoplasma, chlamydia, ureaplasma, etc.
2 . Transporting nasopharyngeal swab specimens or site-specific configuration specimens from the sampling site to the examination laboratory for PCR extraction and examination.
3 . Preservation of nasopharyngeal swab samples or site-specific configuration specimens for necessary cell culture
