What is the use of virus sampling tubes

Before sampling, indicate the sample information on the label.

Sample the appropriate area with a sampling swab according to the purpose of the experiment.

After sampling, quickly place the sampling swab into the sampling tube containing the transport medium of the virus, break it at the break point and tighten the cap.

Specimens collected fresh using inert gold sampling tubes can be transported to the laboratory within 7 days at room temperature (5-25C), with ice packs more effective for transport. Specimens for nucleic acid testing work well when examined within 24 hours.

The specific sampling methods are as follows.

a ) Nasal swab: insert the head of the swab gently into the nasal palate in the nasal canal, leave it for a while and then slowly turn it to withdraw. Wipe the other nostril with another swab, dip the head of the swab in the sampling solution, break it off and fold it to throw away. (Applicable to sampling in this product)

b ) Pharyngeal swab: use

swab both sides of the pharyngeal tonsils and the posterior pharyngeal wall, similarly dip the swab head in the sampling solution, and discard. (applicable to the sampling in this product).

Precautions.

Prohibit direct patient contact with the preservation fluid containing the virus sample.

It is prohibited to wet the swab with the preservation fluid and then take the sample.

Please remember that this product is a disposable product and is intended for the collection, transport and preservation of clinically collected virus specimens only.

The product must not leak beyond the expiration date or if the packaging is broken.

Collection of virus specimens should be performed by experts in strict accordance with sampling procedures. Examination of specimens should be performed in a laboratory that meets safety levels.

Specimens should be collected to ensure freshness and sent for examination in a timely manner. After specimens are collected, they must be sent to the corresponding laboratory within 3 working days. The storage temperature is 5 to 35, and must be kept below -70 if it cannot be delivered to the laboratory within 72h. Specimens must be repeatedly frozen and thawed to avoid the death of pathogens.

After collecting the pathogenic bacteria specimen, the disposable sampling swab must be completely inserted into the preservation solution in order to retain the pathogenic bacteria as much as possible.

This disposable virus sampling tube is for in vitro diagnosis and should not be used for internal or external use in humans or animals. Swallowing it can cause a major incident and is irritating to the eyes and skin. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally spill it on your eyes.
