Guangzhou Shenzhen many streets, communities have organized nucleic acid testing

But no one told the results of the nucleic acid test

Why is this?

With the promotion of the inspection of all the tests, the mechanism and process of nucleic acid testing has been refined and optimized, at this stage, there are two main types of nucleic acid testing - single test and mixed test, so what is a single test? What is a mixed test?

What is a single test?

In layman's terms, a single test is a person's sample using a collection tube.

The high cost of single test, in principle, high-risk areas and key populations need to single sample collection. This method is expensive, takes a long time to test, and is not suitable for large-scale nucleic acid testing. Thus, the mixed test was created.

What is a mixed test?

There are two modes of mixed testing.

One is to sample several people, such as 5 or 10 people, and then put them into the same sampling tube, this mode is also called "mixed sampling", most cases use this mode.

The other is to take the same volume of samples from 5 or 10 people and mix them together in the laboratory, also known as "sample mixing".

Currently, most of the large-scale nucleic acid tests are performed using the five-in-one mix technique.

The so-called five-in-one mixed testing technology, is the collection of five people swab into a collection tube, the test result is negative, mixed samples are considered negative, mixed test of five people are safe; if there is a positive, will immediately notify the relevant departments of the mixed tube of five subjects temporarily isolated, and re-collect a single tube swab for review, and then determine which of the five people is positive.

A mixed test (10 mixed 1) means that the samples of 10 people are collected in one collection tube, and once a positive or weak positive is found, a retrospective test will be performed immediately and a single swab will be collected again for review to determine which of the 10 people is positive. If the test result is negative, it means that all 10 samples are negative and the 10 people in the mixed collection are safe. Therefore, the cost of mixed collection is much lower than that of single testing, and the cost is correspondingly lower.

The use of this combination mode can make the daily detection capacity without increasing human and material resources, increased by 10 times, can be more screening, early diagnosis, and strive to find the patient one minute earlier isolation, reduce transmission and save social costs.

In short, the biggest advantage of taking a mixed test is to improve efficiency, applicable to the detection task workload, time constraints. This testing method is used according to the State Council's "New Coronavirus Nucleic Acid Screening Dilution Mixed Sample Testing Technical Guidelines", the results are also accurate, there will be no leakage, error detection and other issues, you can rest assured that oh!

Large-scale nucleic acid testing

Will there be results

According to the official news, the results of the nucleic acid test will definitely be available! After the nucleic acid test is completed, the results will be displayed directly in the individual's Yue Kang code, without the need to print a specific report.

After the nucleic acid test sample is taken, it will be handed over to the inspection department for the corresponding viral nucleic acid test. Nucleic acid testing is completed in five steps: sampling, sample retention, preservation, nucleic acid extraction, and onboard testing. We are currently carrying out large-scale personnel nucleic acid testing work, uploading a large amount of data, please wait patiently for all partners!
