Inactivating preserving solution is a kind of virus preserving solution, which is mainly used for storing virus after inactivating it, and inactivating virus preserving solution can effectively prevent secondary infection of users. It is characterized by rapid inactivation of the virus, degradation of the virus protein capsid, and release of the virus nucleic acid. Currently, the new coronavirus sweeping the world is releasing and degrading the RNA virus so that post-retrotranscription PCR amplification experiments can be performed to detect the virus using nucleic acid.

Inactivated virus preservation solutions usually contain components for lysis, as well as decontaminants to denature proteins and disrupt membrane structures, biological buffers and inhibitors to prevent nucleases from degrading nucleic acids, and reagents to maintain stable nucleic acid structures. The lysis system may also incorporate proteases that cut the protein into small fragments and facilitate the separation of the protein from the nucleic acid.

There are a variety of known methods for lysing viruses, two of the more common nowadays are the heating method and the concentrated salt method.

The concentrated salt method uses a high concentration of salt that can break the secondary bonds between the nucleic acid and the protein, causing the nucleoprotein to unlink thereby releasing the viral nucleic acid. Usually guanidine hydrochloride, guanidine isothiocyanate or non-guanidine salt lysis salts are used, which can inactivate the virus by direct lysis without heating the sample and are relatively simple.

The heating method is based on the temperature value by heating to 80℃~100℃, because the samples are usually frozen at -70℃, and usually need to be heated for 5~10 minutes. This operation is simpler, and the template for nucleic acid PCR amplification can be obtained in just one step, without any centrifugation, extraction and other operational steps, which is faster than the commonly used CheleX100 extraction method and phenol/chloroform, etc. Although this method is simple, the amount of extracted nucleic acid will be less.

Ltd. has been concentrating on the research and development of virus preservation solution since the outbreak of the epidemic, striving to provide the society with a share of its strength. After many experiments and tests, we have been able to ensure that the quality and experience of our products are very up to standard. We have inactivated and non-inactivated virus preservation solutions for adjustment and selection. In addition, Huarakang reminded the customers, when buying virus preservation solution, do not just pursue the low price, you can take samples back to do testing and comparison, the best is suitable.
