Specific overview of the virus sampling tube set and sampling methods
I. Virus sampling tube product overview.
Brilliance virus sampling tubes are suitable for nucleic acid extraction and late virus isolation of various influenza viruses, avian influenza viruses, coronaviruses, hand, foot and mouth viruses, rubella and measles and other virus samples. It is also suitable for the collection and transportation of specimens of Chlamydia, Mycoplasma, Mycoplasma solium, etc. Usually the specimens are collected in the human mouth, throat, nasal cavity, anus and other parts.
(1) Sampling tube: the tube body and cap are made of polypropylene, which is not deformed at high temperature and pressure (121 degrees Celsius, 15 minutes) and not brittle at low temperature (196 degrees Celsius). Static extrusion and dynamic impact resistance. The conical design with round skirt at the bottom is resistant to centrifugation and shock. The sample preservation solution inside is used for the preservation of samples, eliminating leakage.
(2) Sample preservation solution: Virus lysate and viral nucleic acid preservation solution are used to mix thoroughly. Virus lysate achieves inactivation of viruses in the sample, greatly reducing the risk of laboratory infection. The nucleic acid preservation solution formulation suitable for virus preservation ensures efficient virus preservation, integrity, ability to transport at room temperature and long-term preservation. Built-in glass beads, convenient elution, facilitate the release of viruses and other microorganisms more sample preservation solution.
(3) sampling swab: sampling swab for flocking sampling head, no toxic effect on cells, viruses, and does not contain RNA enzymes, can maximize the collection and release of viral samples to ensure the accuracy of PCR test results. The plastic rod is made of ABS, with a unique breakable design and no tiny debris in the process of breaking. The kit is packaged in internationally accepted paper-plastic packaging and sterilized by gamma radiation.
(4) Nasal swab: The ultra-flexible plastic rod is ergonomically designed to optimize the efficiency of collection and improve the comfort of the patient in extracting samples. The nylon flocking can strongly promote the absorption of liquid samples. The sample adsorption surface can be eluted more easily and quickly, thus reducing manual handling of the sample. Suitable for nasopharyngeal and nasal sampling with unique fracture point design.
(5) Pharyngeal swab: The plastic rod is ergonomically designed to optimize the efficiency of collection and improve the comfort of the patient in extracting the sample. Nylon flocking strongly promotes the absorption of liquid samples. The sample adsorption surface allows for easier and faster elution, thus reducing manual handling of the sample. Suitable for pharyngeal sampling pey; suitable for collecting tracheal samples, cells or fluids for DNA testing.
(6) Preservation solution: contains antibacterial ingredients to prevent bacterial and fungal contamination; prevents long-term frozen storage of viruses; avoids sample drying; allows long-term survival of present germs; prevents the growth of other bacteria and fungi within the sample; stabilizes viruses and provides maximum recovery.
II. Sampling methods.
(1) Open the package and remove the swab
(2) Collect samples with swabs in the following ways.
(a) Nasal swab: Nasal swabs are used to collect the anterior turbinate, dry swabs are placed into the nostril for a few seconds and slowly retrieved with a rotating motion.
b) Nasopharyngeal swab: A dry swab is inserted into the nostril, left for a few seconds and then slowly retracted with a rotating motion.
(c) Pharyngeal swab: Ask the patient to open the mouth and use the swab to rub the back of the throat near the tonsils.
(3) After taking the sample, insert the swab vertically into the tube containing the virus preserving solution and break the swab at the break point.
(4) Cap the tube tightly, mark the sample correctly including the patient's name, time and date, and collect the kit for immediate laboratory testing.
