A transport medium is a medium used for the collection, transport and preservation of pathogenic bacteria or microbial specimens and includes both liquid and solid types. It is generally used for the transfer and preservation of clinically collected specimens. It is used by medical units for pre-treatment of pathogenic tests to obtain pathogenic specimens.

Testing principle

The different formulations used in different types of transport media can improve and enhance the viability of the corresponding microorganisms in the specimens for short-term preservation in transport.

Method of use

1、Before sampling, mark the relevant sample information on the label of the sampling tube.

2、Sample with the corresponding sampling swab.

3、After sampling, quickly place the swab into the sampling tube.

4、Break the swab at the swab break point and discard the tail.

5、Tighten the tight tube cap. Then put the sampling tube containing the sample into the biosafety bag and send it to the inspection in time.

Features

1、Almost all the morphological structure and number of cells are preserved, and the specimen can be stored for 6 months at room temperature.

2, After filming the remaining cells can be further directly do HPV, DNA, chlamydia, gonorrhea and immunochemical tissue testing and other tests.

3、Eliminate most of the germs and microbial activity within 15 minutes. Eliminate possible harm to health care workers.
