Collection tube for virus lysis and virus preservation liquid, containing a high concentration of guanidine salts and stabilizers, the collected virus samples and its full mixture, the virus (or other pathogens) will be quickly lysed and released. The stabilizer in the liquid can protect the released (RNA or DNA) from degradation by RNase and DNase. Samples treated by this sampling tube can be used for subsequent extraction and are compatible with extraction methods such as magnetic bead extraction and column membrane extraction.
Consists of a swab (swabless type not included) and a tube containing preservation solution. Non-sterile provided. 2~35℃ condition storage, valid for 12 months.

2 Virus sample lysis and virus preservation
2.1 Swab samples
2.1.1 Keep the sampling tube in an upright position, unscrew the cap and take care to prevent the liquid inside the tube from spilling.
2.1.2 Insert the front end of the collected swab into the preservation tube, fold the front part of the swab along the indentation into the preservation tube, screw the cap tightly and mix up and down upside down 5 times.
2.2 Samples of serum, plasma, alveolar lavage fluid, viral cultures, etc.
2.2.1 Keep the sampling tube in an upright position, unscrew the cap and be careful to prevent the liquid inside the tube from spilling out.
2.2.2 Add ≤500uL of sample to the tube, tighten the cap and mix upside down 5 times.

2. This product should be used in conjunction with a diagnostic kit or diagnostic instrument.
3. Virus inactivation and release of the virus is achieved when the sample is added to the product, completing the virus lysis operation. Specimens preserved with this product do not need to be lysed again, only purified. In particular, it is not suitable for the procedure that requires high-speed centrifugation of the supernatant of the preserved samples (the lysed ones are already present in the supernatant), as a large amount will be lost. Such centrifugation steps can be omitted and go directly to the adsorption, washing and elution steps.
4. The guanidinium salt component of this product will produce precipitation with sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and affect subsequent extraction, so do not mix with solutions containing SDS components.
