Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) is a concentrated liquid Rich in platelet-rich plasma or growth factors. PRP tubes rapidly stops bleeding, alleviates pain, and accelerates wound healing. Platelet-rich plasma greatly reduces the formation of postoperative scars. It is widely used in orthopedics, heart surgery, sports medicine and plastic surgery and other fields. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) can be used to extract platelet concentrates from autologous whole blood by centrifugation, containing high concentrations of platelets, white blood cells and fibrin for tissue repair.

Centrifugation:
◆ Conventional two-step centrifugation extraction method: 1. After centrifugation at a centrifugation parameter of 1500 r/min for 10 minutes, the whole blood is divided into 3 layers, the bottom layer is the red blood cell layer, the upper layer is the supernatant, and the middle layer is the platelet rich layer. 2. Discard the red blood cell layer and centrifuge the remaining liquid again at 3000r/min for 1-3 minutes.
◆ New one-step centrifugal extraction method: the mixed PRP extraction tube is symmetrically placed in the centrifuge and centrifuged at 3500r/min for 15-20 minutes.
Transfer after centrifugation: After centrifugation, take out the centrifuged PRP extraction tube, gently and vertically place it on the test tube rack to avoid shaking, and let it stand for more than 5 minutes.
Extraction of PRP: The liquid is divided into 2 layers. From top to bottom with a sterile syringe of 10 to 20ml and a matching needle, the upper layer of Platelet-poor plasma (PPP) is slowly extracted one by one and then discarded, while the rest is a pale yellow liquid layer of PRP rich in platelets and white blood cells. After gently shaking and mixing the remaining PRP in the test tube for 8-10 times, the tube body was turned upside down, and the remaining PRP in the tube was extracted with a 5-10ml sterile syringe and a matching needle.
Notes:
①Users can choose one-step centrifuge or two-step centrifuge according to their own PRP centrifuge performance.
②Pay attention to the symmetrical trim of the centrifuge when centrifuging, so that the force is uniform.
③Centrifugal parameters can be set according to the requirements of the centrifuge manufacturer, and the above centrifugal data is for reference only.
