Disposable virus sampling tubes are mainly used for sample collection, transportation and storage. It mainly consists of tubes containing swabs and virus preservation solutions. Regarding storage requirements, they can be stored at room temperature, are prohibited from being used in bright light, and are valid for 12 months. However, it cannot be used after 5 days if it is not used after opening.
Disposable virus sampling tubes are suitable for influenza virus and other viruses, but also for mycoplasma, chlamydia, and dissimilatory plasma. The use of disposable virus sampling tubes can be used for patients who are more susceptible to sensitivity by using a white soft flocked swab so that the sample can be experienced comfortably.
Single-use virus sampling tubes are used primarily for nasopharyngeal swab samples or specific structure samples sent from the sampling site to the laboratory for PCR extraction and examination. It is suitable for the diagnosis of respiratory pathogens.
Methods of use.
According to the "Technical Expert Consensus on Specimen Collection from Patients with New Coronary Pneumonia", the specific methods of collecting nasal and pharyngeal swab specimens are as follows.
Nasopharyngeal swab collection.
①, the patient's head is tilted backward (about 70 degrees) and does not move
②, use the swab to project the distance from the root of the ear to the nostril
③, insert from the vertical facial direction of the nostril, the depth distance should be at least half of the length from the earlobe to the tip of the nose, the resistance must immediately reach the nasopharynx, stay for a few seconds to inhale the secretion (generally required 15~30s), make the swab rotate 3~5 times.
④, Finally, gently rotate the swab to remove the swab and dip the swab head into the virus sampling tube with cell preservation solution.
⑤. Break and discard the swab tail at the break point, tighten the tube cap and put it into a biosafety bag. Promptly send for testing
Oropharyngeal swab collection.
①. Instruct the patient to rinse the mouth with saline or water.
②. Have the patient sit down, tilt his head back, open his mouth wide and make an "ah~" sound.
③、Press the tongue with a tongue depressor and rub the posterior pharyngeal wall and the crypt and lateral wall of the tonsils over the tongue root.
④, first swab with moderate force to and from both sides of the pharyngeal tonsils at least 3 times, then wipe the posterior pharyngeal wall at least 3 to 5 times.
(⑤, remove the swab without touching the tongue, suspensory body, oral mucosa, saliva, etc.
(vii), place the swab into the sampling tube containing the virus preservation solution.
⑧, break the sterile swab at the fracture point and discard the broken end of the swab, tighten the cap of the tube and put it into the biosafety bag. Promptly send for testing
