①. Ask the patient to keep his head still and remove the secretions from the surface in the anterior nasal aperture.
(ii) Use a swab or other tool to good the distance from the nostril to the root of the ear and use the finger as a marker.
③. Insert the swab gently and slowly through the nasal cavity.
④, swab up to the finger mark or stay for a few seconds after encountering resistance to absorb the secretion; (usually stay for 15-30 seconds, then gently rotate 3 times)
⑤, gently rotate to remove the swab and place it in the virus sampling tube (in the transfer medium); break the tail rod of the swab along the break point to place it completely in the tube. Screw the tube cap tightly.
(vi) If collection from both nostrils is required, another swab should be used.
(⑦) Send to the examination room as soon as possible for examination.
⑧. Take care to make a note of the information of the collected person to avoid confusion.
