Virus sampling tube is a complete set of sampling and transport centrifuge tubes for influenza virus, hand, foot and mouth virus and other viruses in biological sampling and transport tubes, also known as specimen transport tubes, has become a commercial product.
Virus sampling tubes mainly include the following parts.
1. A disposable sterile plastic swab/man-made fiber tip sampling swab.
2. Use of gentamicin and mitomycin B as sterile sampling tubes containing 3 ml of virus maintenance solution to better suppress the sample. Avoid human allergies that may be caused by conventional sampling solutions.
In addition, there are other components such as tongue depressors and biosafety bags.
Use of Virus Sampling Tubes
1. It is used in disease control departments and clinical departments for surveillance and sampling of infectious pathogenic microorganisms.
It is used for sampling of mycoplasma, chlamydia, ureaplasma, etc. It is suitable for sampling of influenza virus, hand, foot and mouth virus and other types of viruses.
2. Samples or site-specific tissue samples are removed by nasopharyngeal swabs and transported from the sampling site to the testing laboratory for PCR extraction and testing.
3. The nasopharyngeal swab sample or site-specific tissue sample is used to preserve it for necessary cell culture.
Virus sampling tubes contain infectious, and in some cases highly pathogenic, materials, and therefore the packaging containers are very demanding and must meet three requirements simultaneously.
1. Transport safety.
Ensure that the sample cannot leak during transport, and that the sampling tube complies with WHO regulations and biosafety regulations.
2. Safety of storage.
Ensure that the sample does not leak during storage and that the sampling tube complies with WHO regulations and biosafety regulations.
3. Validity of the sample.
Ensure that the sampling tube itself is not toxic to the sample.
